The Seaside First Saturday Art Walk, on December 7th is all about celebrating the holiday season in the arts. Between 5-7:pm visitors may artists, view an artist demonstration, listen to an art lecture or enjoy live performances in music. The Art Walk, celebrating 15 years in 2019, is a walk about in the historic Gilbert District located between Holladay and Broadway. Dedicated parking is to be found on the corner of Ocean way and Holladay. Free and open to the public.
Starry Night Art Hotel and Inn, 811 First Ave.
Featuring art by Libby Grise who creates provocative shadow boxes, each with a hand written story on the back. Grise explores complex ideas like the challenges of motherhood and childhood, religion, life, love and more. The Starry Night Inn is an art hotel by the sea and offers artist residencies and retreats.
Angi D Wildt Gallery, 737 Broadway St., #2
Hosting a holiday party. Enjoy a glass of mulled wine and hors d’oeurves while perusing the new selection of glass art jewelry, functional art pieces perfect for gift giving or enhancing your home.
Blue Bond Art Studio and Gallery, 417 S. Holladay Drive
Featuring paintings by Seaside artist Blue Bond done in oil on canvas. Blue is also a teacher, and enjoys passing on his vast knowledge to novices and experienced painters alike. Offering private classes in oil or acrylic, reasonably priced.
The Whet Spot, 12 N. Holladay Drive
Featuring Billy Lutz, local artist, musican and philosopher. His artwork focuses on what lies beneath appearances having reemerged back into the field of opposites, the irrational landscape, now exposed, and is stitched into the physical realm for all to see. From now on, one cannot escape or deny that there is more going on in present tense than just the world spinning and us moving about on its surface. LIVE music by Billy Lutz.

Enjoy the holiday season by finishing your shopping list early! Stop by Seaside Yarn and Fiber during the Seaside First Saturday Art Walk and find locally crafted treasures for everyone on your holiday gifting list! The store features handmade hats, shawls and scarves + local gift cards, tote bags, artwork, stained glass and more.
Beach Books Art-in-the-Loft Gallery, 616 Broadway St.
Hosting "This is the Season," group show of artists who have shown in the gallery over the past year. Artwork will include a variety of artistic styles in "small" affordable formats. We will be offering shoppers an opportunity to buy original art works for those special people on their lists. Original paintings, prints and cards will be available, and yes, books, lots of books.
Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway St.
Opening reception for "HUE" an exhibition featuring a lavish array of handmade jewelry of mixed-metal, leather, gold-filled and semi-precious stones from many of the Northwest’s most reputable jewelry artists. Exclusive private jewelry shopping experience to select the latest edgy fashion forward works, complimentary gift wrapping, gifts to all guests and holiday cookie exchange from selected Art Walk hostesses. Naturalist Neal Maine will speak at 6:pm about the hues found in the winter habitats in the region. LIVE music by Shirley 88. and seasonal refreshments and beverages.
Pacific Heirloom Art and Collectables, 608 Broadway St.
Featuring vintage Spode, one of the world's best-known holiday designs. Spode Christmas Tree was originally introduced in 1938, designed specifically for the American market. It is the oldest holiday pattern in the US today, and is loved by collectors for its nostalgia and warm recollections of past Christmases.
SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway St.
Featuring the whimsical upcycle art of Seaside artist Patty Thurlby. Patty's theme is "Merry Christmas Time" where she has created clocks in various themes using found objects arranged in such a way that always bring a smile. She is also making more of her unique Advent calendars that were so popular last December. Also featured are crocheted Elf Hats by Lauda Gilman, new artistic Istanbul earrings, new Spirit Dolls by Jan Barber and china earrings by SunRose owner/artist Cathy Tippin. Live music will be provided by David Crabtree and Ray Coffey.
Shine Fair Trade, 609 Broadway St.
Artisan show featuring artists, potters, quilters, craft brewers and crafters displaying their talents and wares in a shared community room, most often used for yoga classes. Featuring handmade items that supports over 100 non-profits and men and women's artisan cooperatives. Snacks, drink and LIVE music. Shine Fair Trade is a unique and conscientious business filled with the eclectic from exclusive jewelry and art where everything is handmade.
