Celebrating 16 years in 2020, the next Seaside First Saturday Art Walk will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, September 5th, a free event that takes place between Holladay Drive and Broadway Street in the Historic Gilbert District of downtown Seaside.
TigerLily Gallery, 613 Broadway
Featuring Bonnie Junell, an artist currently painting in oils and acrylics. The artist uses intense colors and textures found in the natural world in her two homes, Oregon and Florida.
Shine Fair Trade, 609 Broadway St.
Featuring handmade items all over the world that support over 100 nonprofits and men and women's artisan cooperatives.
SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway St.
Featuring the whimsical mixed media art of Patty Thurlby, Spirit Dolls made with intention and love by Jan Barber, and magical crocheted Pixie Bags and summer hats by Lauda Lacayo Gilman.
Pacific Heirloom Art and Collectables, 608 Broadway St.
Featuring a gathering of mythical and legendary sea-dwelling mermaids depicted in bronze, iron, carved wood, and other mediums. The folkloric origins of mermaids go back to the semi fish gods of ancient religions and the classic tales of the sea in Greek and Roman mythologies.
Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway St.
Opening reception for OVER and UP, Fairweather’s September Art Sale and Show featuring Northwest artists Paul Brent, Victoria Brooks, Patricia Clark-Finley, Pam Haunschild, Bob Knoll, Jackie Leloff and Emily McNeil. With images in astrophotography, Knoll’s art calls attention to nightscapes “as the stars and other celestial bodies rise UP in the night sky and are visible OVER the coastal landscape.”
The Whet Spot, 12 N. Holladay Drive
Featuring local artists ranging from the amateur to the professional artist for providing Art Walk visitors access to a wide range of art. In addition, The Whet Spot offers a relaxed, friendly, adults-only atmosphere where patrons can enjoy craft beers, ciders, and wines.
Blue Bond Art Studio and Gallery, 417 S. Holladay Drive
Featuring oil paintings and acrylics by Blue Bond, an accomplished Seaside professional artist whose specialty is in portraits of people and animals. In addition, with over fifty years of experience, the artist teaches one-to-one classes in painting.
Angi D Wildt Gallery, 737 Broadway St., #2
Featuring scenes from the Northwest. Art created by local and national artists in oil, watercolor, and photography. Offering private tours by appointment.
Starry Night Inn and Art Hotel, 811 1st Ave
Featuring art from Oregon artists in each room of a Victorian villa. The art is curated by Chris Haberman. The Inn offers artist residencies and retreats.
